What means Optional Practical Training (OPT) status?

F1- Visa on OPT Status Explained: Under certain conditions, foreign students with an F-1 visa can complete a twelve-month internship ("Optional Practical Training", OPT) during or after completing their studies in the USA.

What is a H1B Visa?

H1B Visa Explained: The H-1B is a visa in the United States that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations.

When can I apply for OPT Visa?

You can apply for OPT from 90 days before your end date, until 60 days after your end date. USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) must receipt (not receive) your application no later than 60 days after your I-20 end date. Allow at least 10-14 days for USCIS to assign a receipt number.

Can I purchase coverage while I'm still on waiting period for OPT?

Yes, we can already offer you the insurance during the 4-8 week waiting period for the OPT status. 

Can I also insure my dependents under this plan?

No, our OPT plans are not available for dependents.
